One of Dundee’s most successful youth football clubs, Broughty United, have become the latest sporting organisation in the region to benefit from a donation from international sporting investment organisation, Carling Sport.

Carling Sport, a subsidiary of The Carling Group, the family investment office of local entrepreneurs, Graeme and Leanne Carling, has donated a 20 ft storage container to the club, as part of it’s on-going commitment to supporting grass-roots sport in the Tayside region.

Carling Sport has a long history of supporting grass-roots sport, currently sponsors the Midlands Amateur Football Association, a partnership which spans a decade, and has a history of sponsoring local sporting events and individuals.

Carling Sport Commercial Manager, Marc Stanton commented; “Despite operating internationally, Carling Sport has roots in the Dundee area and we are keen to continue our long-standing tradition of supporting youth and amateur sport. We are approached regularly by clubs and teams with regards to storage, so we know it can be challenging, by donating storage containers to clubs we hope we can play a small part in the on-going success of clubs like Broughty United Youth.

Broughty United Youth representative, Harry Locherty added; “We are highly appreciative of all support we receive, and this generous donation from Carling Sport is no exception. Local sports teams rely on sponsors and the kindness of our supporters, and this additional storage will be put to good use at the club.”
