International sporting investment group, Carling Sport, part of The Carling Group, the family investment office of Dundee-born entrepreneur, Graeme Carling, has announced it is to continue its support of the cities sporting sector, by donating a storage container to Maryfield United.

Dundee-based Youth football club, Maryfield United, who currently play their homes games at Fairmuir Park, have received delivery of a 20ft storage container, which will provide safe and secure storage of the club’s belongings.

Carling Sport has a long history of supporting grass-roots sport, and currently sponsors the Midlands Amateur Football Association, a partnership which spans a decade.

Commenting on the donation to Maryfield United, Carling Sport Commercial Manager, Marc Stanton added; “As an organisation, although we invest in some of the most promising sporting organisations around the World, our commitment to grass-roots sport in Dundee remains. Maryfield are a fantastic club and we are delighted to be able to lend our support.”

Spokesperson for Maryfield United, Robert Falconer added; “Running a growing youth football club isn’t easy, and we are grateful to all our sponsors and benefactors, without whom the club couldn’t continue. This generous donation from Carling Sport will be put to very good use, and many young people will continue to benefit from being a part of our club.
